Apply Obama Grant for Single Mother

Obama Grants Benefit Single Mothers

President Barack Obama is offering government grants to single moms to use for higher education. This is money that does not have to be paid back after the education is complete. This is a gift of education. The grant can be used for educational expenses like tuition and books, and personal items such as clothes, housing, childcare and other costs.

Obama wants to give these women education so they can lead better lives for themselves and their families. But why should these moms take advantage, other than the obvious reasons? For one, obtaining a college degree makes one more valuable and desirable in the eye of the employer. The graduate will have more opportunities for job interviews to obtain a higher-paying career.

If the mother works multiple jobs to pay the bills, she will just have to work the one job and will be able to enjoy more quality time at home with her family. She will be more fulfilled in life and will feel more confident with what she has achieved. Also, her children will be more likely to go to college when it is time for them to decide on education after high school. If you still are not sure, know that you are not alone.

Being a single mother is hard work and it might not seem feasible to go to school. With the financial aspect taken care of, there still is the time factor to worry about. How will you fit education into the schedule? Some colleges offer online degree programs which help a lot, because you can learn from home while you take care of your kids. Of course, you have to make sure you are not distracted while you study. If you want the education enough, you will find a way.

Think about that career you always saw yourself in, and that should give you plenty of motivation to hit the books. If this is something that interests you, be sure to do your research. You will see information about available funding and find out how to apply. It is important to take action now because the money is limited and will not be around forever.

  1. I am a single mother on welfare and I am enrolled in a community college, I get FAFSA and it is not enough once I pay for books and tuition. I need to apply for funding that will help with tuition so I am able to pay rent and keep a roof over my family's head while I am attending college. I don't have the money to even buy toilet paper let alone to pay for the finders fee that some sites ask for. Is there anyone who can give me the heads up on 100% free applications without the runaround?
